How to Play the 38-0-0 Game
The 38-0-0 game is a free browser-based football draft. Choose how you want to select players, fill a complete starting XI, then simulate the team through a league season or a Champions League tournament. This guide explains the controls in the same order that they appear on screen.
Quick Start: Begin a New 38-0-0 Game
2. Choose a formation
Pick one of the six formation buttons. The shape decides which eleven position slots must be filled. You can change the formation before starting, but not after the active draft begins.
3. Choose whether to show ratings
Leave Show Ratings on to see the numerical values used by the game. Turn it off when you want to make selections from football knowledge and player names alone.
4. Start the draft
When a mode and formation are selected, the Let’s Go button becomes active. Use it to open the pitch, selection panel and progress counter.
Draft Controls and Interface Terms
Spin
In Spin & Pick mode, Spin chooses a random team season. Wait for the wheel to stop, then the player list for that squad appears. The revealed club and season remain visible while you make the selection.
Player rows and position badges
Each usable player row shows the player’s natural role and the open formation slots that can accept that role. A greyed row cannot currently be used, usually because the player is already selected or no compatible position remains.
Choosing a slot
If a player fits only one open slot, the game selects that destination automatically. If several slots are available, a position picker appears below the row. Select the required badge before continuing.
Lock In and Re-Spin
Lock In confirms the selected player and position. The pitch and progress counter update immediately. Re-Spin abandons the current team and draws another one; the limited counter beside the control shows how many re-spins remain.
Free and immediate: no login is required. Your current run lives in the browser page, so refreshing or closing the tab starts a new game.
Complete the XI and Simulate the Competition
Repeat the selection process until the progress counter reaches 11/11. The squad summary then lists every starter, the selected formation and category scores. In the Serie A version, choose Simulate the Season to begin the 38-match schedule. In the Champions League version, choose Enter the Tournament to begin the selected European format.
Matches appear over time so you can follow the table and results. Normal, Fast and Ludicrous speed options change the presentation delay rather than the squad itself. Skip to End completes the remaining schedule immediately and opens the final report, including the record, finishing position or tournament stage, and leading scorers.

Why is the start button disabled?
Select both a draft style and a formation. The start control activates only when both choices are present.
Why can’t I lock in a player?
Choose a player row and, when more than one compatible slot exists, choose the target position badge. Lock In activates after both values are set.
Can I save a result?
Yes. The result screen can generate a share image. Browser support determines whether the image opens in the native share sheet or downloads locally.
